I cannot decide between the American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster with the new
S-1 switching system or the '62 Vintage Reissue Stratocaster with the old
vintage pickups. Do they really make that much noise? Somebody please
help me! |

I've only ever found noise to be a problem when I stand too close to the
amp, so I'd go for the 62ri.
Besides, one of Frusciante's strats is a 62 ____________________ Technology, not technique

I know, thats why I want the guitar. In fact, I've never even played it.
I just want it because John has it. John Frusciante is one of the greatest
guitarists ever IMO. |

Frusciante is a hero of mine too.
His other strat is a 57, but he also uses a 63 Telecaster custom, drool!
I'd go with the 62ri strat or a 62ri Tele custom.
Modern strats just don't do it for me, I don't like the bridge and the
noiseless pickups don't have enough strat tone in my opinion ____________________ Technology, not technique
