Hi, I'm 17 and i'm starting a rock band in virginia beach, virginia. We have two members, I am a guitarist and the other member will be bass or another guitarist depending on who we find. We are both willing and able to learn, we both learn at extremely fast paces. I write songs, and can always use another person who likes to write songs. We need a bassist or guitarist and we need a lead singer. We are both christians and want to find other christians to start a christian band and chance the way people think of christian music. If you are not christians that doesnt mean to stop reading now. If you arent, we just have stipulations to abide by including, drinking, smoking, drugs, and no repetetive cussing. slip ups are allowed, we are all human. The musical influences are from the likes of led zeppelin, metallica, and 3 doors down. If interested email me back. Thanks for reading.

I don't want to tell you how to live your life.
But maybe you should ease up on your expectations of other people.
Nobody is perfect, and to judge someone by your own predetermined standards isn't very christian.
To err is human, but to forgive, devine.
Who cares if some one swears a lot, drinks and smokes too much and takes drugs? it's his soul.
As long as he can play well and can do it consistently, who cares?
Nobody is perfect, just accept other peoples faults.
If you ca help them along the way, all the better, but don't turn them away just because you don't aprove of thier lifestyle.

Basiaclly, I don't think rocka and religeon work very well together, if anything, they contradict one another

Well, if you want a good Christian band, more power to you... Hell knows I've been trying for months to get the slightest shred of something together... but your choice of influences are really contradictory to your stipulations and codes of conduct. Metallica, in their early days, were hardcore drinkers, and still cuss their heads off. I'm pretty sure that Zep's got some of that... and how are you melding Zep/Metallica/ and 3 Doors? I'd actually be interested in how you mold those into a form. As for cussing, that one you'll have to be really lenient on... especially with rockers.

I'm also a songwriter (But I'm in Texas, sorry) but I'd still like to see some of your stuff. Good luck, and more power to ya.
