Hi
I would like play guitar but I do not have my left ring finger.
Is it still possible to play?
I do not feel comfortable holding the guitar in the left handed way, so doe anyone have some tips/advise please?

It could be tricky, nut that doesn't mean it can't be done.
There are very basic chords like A E ad G that only require 3 fingers, you'll just have to learn to use your little finger in place of your ring finger.
Do it the way that is most comfortable for you, talk to other guitarists too because there are ways to cheat at playing certain chords like using 1 finger acress 3 strings to play the chord of A.
If you want it badly enough, you can do it

jerry garcia did it, it would be omplicated to do but not imposible ull prolly have to over lap a string ith one finger or w/e if that makes any sence to you, but yeah it shiould be a good challenge . bey

I think maybe you should look into alternate tunings instead of standard tuning...just a thought...you could start a whole new style with that missing finger.

Hey as long as you can still give people the middle finger than you can be a rocker.

i cant remeber the anme of him but the guy from black sabbath hardly had any fingers, just the tips though, anyways you dont necesarily need to paly chords they are gay. i never play chords ever those are for like cheap love songs and cowboys.

Tony Iommi had finger but the tips of 3 of them were cut off in an accident.
Not really a comparison.

Yeah, Django had 2 fingers fused together in a fire I believe, technically leaving him with only 3 fingers
