Hey. I know this is probably a little different than the normal request. I have to perform a piece for a grade at school. It has to be around 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've never really sang before, so a purely guitar piece would be nice. I know a lot of people are really good around here, but I'm only 8-9 months in. Is there anything kind of easy out there that might impress my band teacher?

How about the Star Spangled Banner. I did this when I was in school for a grade. This is a good choice because everyone knows it....

Thanks. Maybe I will. That reminds me of all the pep band music we play. I could check them out too.

Try the House of the Rising Sun. It's pretty simple

speaking of blues there's thousands of blues tunes you could do... You could just play the standard 12 bar blues and slip in a few hot licks and I'm sure you will impress the class..
