Hi!
I've had a duff switch and jack socket on my Epiphone LP Standard for a few
years and I finally got round to buying new ones. I soldered them in
myself, but now I get a horrible buzzing noise over the neck pickup and the
bridge pickup is completely unplayable. I know there are no
short-circuits. Could anyone help me, please?
Thanks. |

Did you twist the output jack, not the nut but the actual jack because that
can mess up the wiring. |

Make sure you didn't break the ground wire while putting the jack back on,
also make sure you have no cold solder joints. your solder joints should be
nice and shinny not dull.

Cheers guys! There was something wrong with my connections at the output
socket. I'm not sure what it was, but I redid them and everything cool
now. In fact, I'd swear that I get a better sound now! |
