Hi there... it's been a while since my last visit here.
Hope you're fine.
Ok.
I want to know what modes i can use for "cantaloupe island"(jazz-rock?).
For those who don't know, the chords are Fm - Dflat7 - Dm.
Someone said i should use Dorian for minor and Mixolydian
for major.Is that right??
Its nice to know i got some people to answer!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!

You can do that
Fm dorian will work good. I would go with Eb Ionian. Fm dorian is the same
notes as Eb Ionian just a different root.
I would also throw in the b7 along with the major 7.
A mix between Ionian and Mixolydian.
Of course you could always use the minor Pentatonic or bebop scale
It's all in choices what sounds good to you.
