Any Marshall would be a great choice. If you like it's tone and features I
would buy it.

| I've heard great things about those Marshalls, but don't rule out the new
range of Fender solid state amps, superb quality and value for money. I'd
match one against a marshall any day, purely for thier better clean channel ____________________ Technology, not technique

Hughes & Kettner is also a great choice if your into a superb clean sound
and a great distortion all in one amp. |

| I would recommend an amp that has a wonderful clean sound because you can
get your other effects through pedals. I think the top ones would be
marshall or a mesa boogie. I have a Fender and it wasn't bad but they get
old quick and you will want to get something better. They are a good amp
for starting out is all i am saying. If you play in a band i recommend
getting something bigger than a fender 65. But for just jammin it is okay.
The clean isn't the best on them either because if it is too loud they get
a bit distorted. Anyway there you go. ____________________ This birdhouse, this desolate cage, my umbrella's upside down in the rain |

Fender get old quick?
Thats a very broad generalisation.
I've had my Fender for 6 years and I still love it.
I love it's crisp clean tone, and as you say, you can get your overdrive
from pedals.
And for all you marshall fans.
Marshall started out by buying a Fender Bassman and copying it.
Enough said ____________________ Technology, not technique

I would never get sick of hearing a Fender Deluxe reverb or a 60's
bassman,Twin the list goes on.........
It all depends on what style your playing........

| I use onstage a Crate Vintage Club 50 head.My Marshall JCM 800 stays home
most of the time now.A used one can be had for around $250 American..Well
worth it.I never thought I'd play through a Crate amp,but I tell the
truth,this head rocks. ____________________ Randy's Official Site

Get a Carvin Legacy or the Carvin MCS3200. Both are all tube--2
channel--50/100 watt switch--effects loop etc.In 25 yrs of usin EVERY
popular valve amps--this is the amp i CHOOSE to play--and its half the
price of the new Marshalls--i made the mistake of buyin a new DSL-100 and
it SUCKED. They have gone downhill!! |
