hi all, i currently have a fender frontman 15g and it buzzes so much and goes crackly its horrible. my priorities are other instruments first, but eventually i will upgrade my amp. i dont want a stack, i want somethin portable and relatively inexpensive. i like slightly less mainstream brands cause they can deliver the same quality for less. i am lookin at the roland cube 30, the new vox valvetronix 30, and maybe a pignose 40. theres also the behringer 212 but ppl say it cant do good clean. i think really i need an amp with great clean tone and it only really needs one channel, im gonna get a boss me-50 one day for the effects so i dont need em in my amp. plz gimme your advice on a cheap reliable great soundin amp. thanks a bunch

personally id go with the vox. ive never used a roland cube, but i have used a roland head and i wasnt overlly impressed. you might wanna go with a bigger amp though. 65 watts is enough volume for almost every occasion unless your playing a huge gig. i have a 65 watt peavey that i love its loud and portable only cost $200 used.

I like the fender princeston chourus.I had one from the late 80's however it got nicked in the early 90's.Thats the only fender I liked.I have an old Stage base amp from th 70's that I plug my guitar into alot.It has alot of bottom end which I look for in an amp.Im still looking for that special amp that I want.It has to look cool, sound great and not cost to much.Ill probably end up buying a second hand amp from someone who gave up on guitar. This way I can get what I want for less than half the price and replace any tubes and what not.
