I've noticed I've been getting some pain in my wrist right where my palm and wrist intersect (where the "lifeline" ends).
I've been playing every day for about an hour for about 2 months. I've noticed my palm feeling tight and tired but didn't experience pain until today.

Should I ice? Are there excersises I should do? Should I lay off for a while or just "push through"?

Thanks!

Get some tubi grip bandage on it, and go see a doctor.
How low slung do you have your guitar?
If it's low, raise it up a bit, you could be putting too much strain on your wrist

Good advice on guitar position and influence on the wrist! Likely causes for the pain is muscular dysfunction. Spend some time stretching the wrist in extention (back of hand toward top surface of forearm). Heat may feel better than ice if the cause is tension in muscles on flexor surface (bottom) of forearm. A good stretching regime will help avoid the whole issue. When we use muscles in a given fashion for extended periods of time, we teach them, from a neurological perspective, to continue to contract. Stretching resets the neurologic component and allows them to remember how to relax. Hopefully, not TMI.

If it doesn't improve with a week of stretching, go see a Doc with some idea of how joints and muscles work. Or ask for a referral to a chiropractor or physical therapist!

Thanks Doc.

Its weird because it's only in the palm (right at the heel of the palm) and it feels like an electric cramp).

I would have it looked at.

Don't mess around, you could damage your hand, wrist and may have lifetime problems.

If it hurts to play then stop until it dosent hurt as much.Or use a hot water bottle before and after playing.Fill it with hot water of course. Some of the best classical players do this.Imagine how cramped and sore their hands must get.I used to get this tunnel thing you speak of until I realized why.I was forgetting to take my hand off the guitar during breaks in the song.Take your hand and put it down by your side and give it a shake once in a while to get the blood flow back.holding hand in the playing position can stop blood flow. For me it does anyway.Do these things and it should help alot.My father who plays had this problem but didnt take percations and he ended up getting operated on to relieve this tention. It worked.Hes playing better than ever and painless. So if all fails you still have the surgery option.Hopfully you wont need it if you take percations like I do.His surgery worked though.Did I say surgery enough for you...surgery...surgery...Its not that big of a deal.It happens to alot of guitar players.Take care of it and youll be fine.
