I'm moving from NJ to NC and was concerned about how to best ship my
acoustic guitar. Would it be better to have the moving company take it on
the truck or drive it down with me in my vechile.
My concern about driving it down with me would be that guitar getting too
hot, etc in the car (but then again, who knows how hot/cold or manhandled
it will get by the movers!)
What do y'all think?

I would never have a moving company take my guitar. As long as your guitar
is in a hard case it will be fine. Throw some blankets over it to keep the
direct sunlight off it. The blankets will also keep that rest stop theft
from stealing it.
Good luck on your move. |

my dad owns a moving company and we ship guitars all the time. your guitar
would be put into a wardrobe (a big box with clothes hanging in it, a mini
closet) and the clothes would protect it from injury. its not like its
gonna get thrown or anything.and if it gets broken or lost they will
replace it. id bring it with me though because you might want to play
sometime on the way down like at your hotel or something. |
