Hello. I recently purchased a Fender princeton 65 dsp amp and it is making
this sound when on the clean channel. It is a simple sound but one hard to
explain. it sounds like... wind I guess, like a constant gut of wind, maybe
a little staticy (its not the sound you get when you put on the bridge
pickup). I am posotive it is the amp and it still does it when I turn the
volume all the way down. The noise increases with the increase of level in
volume and treble. Is this normal, Am I gonna have to get use to it. Can I
fix it? Should I exchange it? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated because
I have no clue. Thanks for the advice (That I am hopefully awaiting).

John,
How about when you unplug all the cables from the amp(effects as well).
Unplug the amp pedal switch as well, if you have one.
On my amp if I use certain effects on my pedal, I get either a whistling or
whooshing. I have to keep the pedal on the next effect up or down until I
use it if I want to keep it quiet. ____________________ If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

Do you have a chorus or flanger effect on? Are you using a wah pedal?

No Im just playing it clean with the effects level all the way
down and i have no effects peadals running through it, Allthough the amp
does have chorus and flanger. I just found this out as well, When I plug my
guirtar in through the "Pwr in" jack it does not do it, it only does it
when I put it in the "Input" jack. |

Did you contact Fenders customer service department?
Sounds like the effects are bleeding over
I would contact them since they built it and there may be a known problem
with that amp.
Let us know
