I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread where people can
nominate a guitar slinger because there isn't one already.
So come on folks, join in, it'll save us Mods having to use our shriveling
brains to think them up :giggly:

All opposed say "No"

How 'bout Rory Gallagher - a man who managed to combine the gift of being
great guitar player with the even rarer gift of being a genuinely decent
human being.

Paul Simon...Okay he was no Hendrix but a great guitar player and composer,
Not to mention his singing and songwriting. His work on Scarborough Fair
and The Boxer may not be the most difficult piece but is quite good. I
guess it all depeneds on what you mean by guitar slinger. What makes a good
guitarist? Speed, Technicality, and difficulty or Feeling, soul and
meaning?
