I've been thinking about getting a Gibson LP Studio, but they dont have the
color that I really want. And if you're buying a 1000+ dollar guitar, it
should be the color you want. Would I be able to do a special order in the
color I want? And if I could, how much would it be? |

I used to sell Gibson's while managing a music store.
In most cases if you order a color that's not in the lineup it will most
likely come from the custom shop.
More money of course.
The rules may may changed but I doubt it

people tell me that it takes away from the resale if I get it in a custom
color. From your experience selling gibsons, is this true? |

I would think the value would be more since it's custom ordered and most
likely come from the custom shop.
Gibson's picky and hard to deal with.

| A custom order will be worth more, but only if it's in a colour that you
will be able to sell on. E.G. a florescent pink Les Paul would be a pain to
sell, unless you found some one who really wanted one. Chose your colour
