Every musician remebers that first gig. Your palms sweating butter flys in your stomach.

My first gig was I was 15 we played at a pool party with 3 other bands . I was nervous as hell until the first note then I was fine. This was back in the late 80's I think the first song we played was Dokkens Tooth and Nail, yeah the solo was fun

I remeber getting an instant date that night

In 1973.I was 13.It was a party for some kid at our junior high.I remember we did "Stairway to Heaven","Listen to the Music" and "Us and Them",I don't remember what else. When the parents came home someone had told them we had a guitar case that had some beers in it,so they checked and all they found were empty cans,so they made us quit.

We use to have week-end parties...we would jam while all our friends hung out....tight fit in my friends garage...people would bump into me while I was playing....

Hmm, my first would have been a school charity concert, I managed to get a band together and have 6 songs rehearsed in 1 week, wasn't great, but what did they expect for 20p a ticket
We did some Paul Weller and other early to mid 90's stuff, and they this ego merchant called Charlie took over solo. He was awful, so I yanked his lead out of the amp and got the biggerst round of applause of the whole night.
I also nearly killed Charlie after he slammed my SG down on the stage on it's back, doesn't do them much good with that angled headstock. Threatened to shove my hand down his throat and castrate him from the inside.

The moral of this story:- Don't mess with another mans axe, especially if it's a brand new one!

My first and only gigs have been recitals held by my teacher, I was usually the best there. I don't have a band...yet.
