Hi,

First post!

My Warlock is in need of restoration. The wiring went bad and it stopped putting out sound period.

I know it could probably be rewired with what's already in there but I'm ready to step it up a notch with all new electronics.

I'll probably need help all the way through this project but right now I am stuck at choosing the right parts!

Can you knowledgable techs and enthusiasts please give me your opinions on what pickups I should use to replace the stock ones?

We're(my sons and I) into hard rock/classic rock/metal for the most part. My son's favorite guitarist is Slash and I love Jimmy Page so I guess we'd like to have a "Les Paul" sound if possible but also be able to get some metal crunch.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated!

Thanks!

Marty

Before you go ripping the wiring out.
Have you tried cleaning out the pickup selector switch and the volume and tone controlls?
Servisol do a switch cleaner/lubricant which might solve all your problems.
Just spray it on the contacts and work it in
