can i play my guitar thru my mic inputs on my home stereo[scott a 436]or is this a no no

It can be done but the impedance will be off.

You can do it however be carefull not to ruin your speakers...Not sure what type of stereo you have however I wouldnt crank the volume up all the way or anything.

i would say give it a try though.

Are you doing this because you dont have an amp or are you trying record something.

Ive destroyed some speakers before playing bass through them, although i have used the set of speakers on my pc to record quite a lot. I think it should be ok as long as its not so loud it becomes distorted.
