I hope someone can shed light on this issue

I play an acoustic guitar and want to run it through some boss pedals to add delay and mild distortion. I wanted to keep the original tone underneath so it wouldn't lose bottom end and sound overly processed.
I thought splitting the signal would be the way to do it.
So after my tuner; I split the signal with a box; one line passing through a few FX pedals and the other passing through nothing. They both met at the end to be joined back together with another splitter box and then into my LR baggs pre amp.

Testing this setup just seemed to create a deep feedback sound. Is this because one line is heading through more mediums than the clean line and it messes with the frequency when you bring it back together?

I hope I am making sense.

Are there better ways to keep my acoustic clean sound while seamlessly applying an effected tone also?

Cheers.

Andrew

Sounds like you have some impedance problems and losing some signal.

The effects your using could be thinning out your sound. Have you tried a EQ to color your sound?
