Hey everyone!
I have a Dunlop Crybaby, and my Waaaah sounds more like a gnah (like
saying gnocchi), very short and abrupt sweep.
Can anyone tell me what components affect this, I've seen some mods posted
on the web talking about changing some resistors, a capcitor, and lastly
the inductor.
I'm just wondering which is the biggest contributor to the "length" of the
sweep.
thanks |

Replacing the 1K5 resistor with a 2K2 will give you more mids and should
smooth out the heel to toe sweep. It should have bands of
brown-green-red-gold.
Sounds like it's also too much on the heel end of the sweep.
1. Loosen the tension ring on the straight gear and move it away from the
round gear.
2. With the pedal still upside down and the heel of the pedal on your end,
roll the round gear so the teeth going over the top of the gear. Roll it
until it stops.
3. Now put the straight gear right next to the round gear. Move the round
gear the opposite way you just move it a tooth or two away from where it
stops so you don't damage the pot.
4. Put the straight gear back on and tighten up the tension ring. |
