Well hello there, I'm Paul, and I'm working on an 70's Aria Mach 1. I've sanded the body, I've shined the fretboard, hell, I've boiled the metal parts to make them gleam as if the we're brand new. But one little area of this little revamp project of mine has failed.

Yes, yes, you guessed it, the wiring.

Oh, don't let me decieve you, it is probably this most uninterestingly boring problem, and I apologize for my ignorance. But I am a half-wit when it comes to soldiering and whatnot. But! I can get to make a sound is the middle pickup. Please, if you could help me as to why this is, and maybe help me out on trying to get the other two to work. For your convinience, I have supplied you with some nice pictures taken.

Thank you for your time and please remember, any advice you give me will be a blessing, and you will be thanked for it.

Thank you,
Paul.

ps. If you need an explanation of what (I think) which wire does, ask and I'll be more than happy to oblige.
pss. Any opinions of the $699.99 Gibson Faded SG? I think I may invest.
psss. THANK YOU :D

You will need to shorten the wire at the ends and make sure your solder gun has a good tip on it. The wires look like a rats nest well maybe not that bad. The SG idea sounds good to me.. their hard to beat!

Hi Paul I think that if you get Dan Erlewine book Guitar players Repair Guide. You will find A lot of the schematics for the wireing.
