I am slowly learning guitar and feel i'm getting much better.
I have made some recordings with guitar and my keyboard.
However now that I play, I notice most music is all about the singer not the musicians. That stinks. Anyone can sing. I like rock, but maybe I need to listen to more jazz for that reason.

That's not always the case. If your the guitar player and singer like Hendrix, Cobain, Gary Moore, Ian Moore, BB King, Buddy Guy etc.... If you can talk you can sing, but not everyone is a good singer.

I understand the singer gets a lot of the attention and holds a lot of the pressure for the band. That isn't necessarily a good thing.
