Hey guys, I have a Gibson classic 57' in the neck of my American Strat. I
want the warmest, clean, jazzy sound I can get. What pots do you suggest I
use. Also, should I replace the volume and tone pots? Thanks. |

If there is nothing wrong with the pots, then you shouldnt have to replace
them. Just make sure you use 500k pots for humbuckers and 250k for
singles. As far as tone goes, the type of capacitor helps alot. Try
finding some different vintage capacitors or maybe an "orange drop".
Experiment with different ones until you find the sound you want. Use .047
for humbuckers and .022 for singles. |
