I like this song...never tried to play it before however i did take a
listen to it and the begining is in Dsus4 I think then D minor with a
pulloff then goes to F then to C.
Here it is
E--------------3----1----3-P-1-------
B---------3-------------------------3-
G-----2--------------------------------
D--0-----------------------------------
A---------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------

If your trying to pick the notes/melody I suggest singing each note out
slowly and figure it out that way.
:example
Jin__gle Bells
sing "jin" and hold the note and try and find that note on your guitar
while humming or singing the note...you will know when you hit that note on
the guitar.
This is a good way of learning lead to guitar if the notes are not to
complicated.
Also remember that the note your looking for may already be the one your
playing...in jingle bells the first 3 notes are the same i think.
Good luck

The rest of smoke on the water is pretty much basic power chords (minus the
solo)...G F C and maybe a A#/Bb or something like that(just guessing)
Also the power chords may be picked at times...example below of power chord
and how the chord can be picked instead of strumed.
Hope that helps a bit.
E------------------------
B-----------------------
G-------------------------------------------------
D--------------5----------------5------5----5--------
A---------5---------------5------------5----5-------
