I haven't tried this on a guitar but I made a few things using magazine photos on bare wood then putting a clear coat over that. I glued the magazine clipping to the bare wood using wood glue.
Make sure you get all the bubbles out before adding a clear coat............

Not my bag of tricks though

Anyone..............

Hey I think I know!
The last two days a friend of mine has told me of some kind of wierd spray.
He tells me that there is one to put on stickers to stick them, and another one that you put them on the stickers that you have on and automatically they fall off.
If I get some more information about where to find them I´ll tell you.
Talk to you later,

Hi Noodles! Welcome to The Guitar Files! I've seen the "Graphic Graffiti" ad in guitar magazines for a while. It seems fairly easy to put their logos on. Their web address is www.coolstickers.biz. They also do custom orders. You might also want to check with your local instrument repair shop for recommendations.

Good Luck!

By plastic stuff, I presume you mean vinyl, I used to use it every day in my work as a sign writer, all you need is to draw a design, get it scanned in and cut out by someone with the right equiptment and it's done.

IMHO, I would give the "decorations" a miss. You will surely come to a time when they don't embody what you want your guitar to say visually. If you leave it clean, it's never going to go out of style.

I can't count the times I've helped people clean the residue off of their guitar.

thanks,
