Hi, I am new to this forum and i didn't really know where to post this, so if its in the wrong place just tell me.
On with the problem......

I own an ART SGX2000 and yesterday i came to plug it in and start to play. But when i turned it on all that came across my amp was a very loud humming noise, even when i turned my amp down the noise still stayed the same. I tryed the SGX in a different amp and the noise was still there. I also can not get any sound from it, like its not registering that my guitar is plugged in, all i get is the same old humming noise. I have took it apart and i cannot see anthing that has shook loose or broke. On the inside everything seems fine. Now bearing in mind this preamp effects unit is nearly 15 years old it is not under warranty so whatever i have to fix i will do myself or if its a big job pay for it to be done professionally. I also really don't want to get rid of it either.

So if anyone has any ideas what it might be, please let me know.

I owned a art DRX processor years ago that did the same thing. I had to send it off and I think it was $150 to fix at that time.

If it was analog we could talk you through it but an all digital unit is a nightmare
