I'm looking for suggestions for a decent acoustic/electric in the under $200 range. I'll be using it mostly for music in church when the piano player can't make it. I'm self-taught and an intermediate-level player. I play mostly finger-picking, folk style, and blues style. I seldom use a pick.
Any suggestions?

yes. If you can go to $250 you can pick up a Godin family wood guitar. Normans have been made in Canada for over 100 years and they are great! Simon and Patrick family are good as well. Stay away from a laminate non wood top if you can, your (preferable solid wood guitar) will go up in value and suite you well.

I'm trying to decide on a guitar. How do you choose between acoustic and electric?"

"What is considered the best brand of acoustic guitar?"

How much should I spend on my first electric guitar?"

"What are the best things to practice when starting out on guitar?"

"can anyone recommend good songs to start learning on guitar?"
