I recently found a used jackson. Upon doing the research, I'm finding a
hard time ID'ing this guitar. The Jackson site is uselsess for tracking
this guitar...i think.
The guitar has a maple neck, three pickups, 2 hums and a single coil. It
has three switches. It's blue with white on the bottom with black stripping
across it. MOST importantly it DOES have made in usa next to the jackson
logo. On the backplate, it also has Jackson made in USA with the san dimas
Po box and address.
My question, I believe this to be a unique model and also believe it's a
'REAL' Jackson from San Dimas. Looking at the serial number chart would
lead me to believe this is not a 'true' Jackson??
SN 6474- bolt on by the way..
Any info would be greatly appreciated..I would love to buy an older Jackon
like I had in my earlier days. This looks plays and feels like the
originals...just not sure anymore with the market flooded with all sorts of
models and hoopla on what is a jackson, charvel, etc?
Thanks in advance,
Kurt
Does anyone have any info on this or contact info for Jackson or even a
very comprehensive site? |

They came out with the bolt on in 1981 -1986 in San Dimas then they made
them in Ontario. Looks like you have a 1987 made in Ontario my friend. |
