Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame To Honor Les Paul

Gibson guitar inventor Les Paul will be honored by the Rock -N- Roll Hall of Fame at the 13th Annual American Music Masters series this November. The week long event, entitled Rock and Roll Retrospective: The Les Paul Phenomenon will be held at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The tribute concert will be on November 15.

The 93-year-old Les Paul, born Lester William Polsfuss, is famous for his electric guitar modifications, one of which he created was called "The Log." Acoustic and electric guitar manufacturer Gibson Guitar Corporation designed a guitar incorporating his suggestions in the early 50s, calling it the "Les Paul" model.

He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2005 for his development of the electric guitar.
