“Our organization continues to be blessed by the overwhelming support from my friends in the entertainment industry,” said James Burton in a statement.
Training for teachers began today. Guitar instruction for students will begin in October. Students who participate get free guitar lessons and access to acoustic and electric guitars.Money was raised through the James Burton International Guitar Festival, March 30-April 1. The festival’s main concert featured performances by Chris Isaak, the Cox Family and Rick Derringer. Performers who did not attend, including the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards, also made donations. |
