Schecter's C-1 Goes Exotic

Schecter Guitar Research announced their new C-1 Exotic for 2005. The instrument is based on Schecter's CS-1 Custom Shop electric. The combination of the Exotic's arched Mahogany body and solid Flamed Maple top yield a very focused, full tone with plenty of clarity, according to the company. The 25.5" scale mahogany neck is set into the body utilizing Schecter's trademarked 'ultra access' contoured neck joint, allowing unobstructed upper fret playability. An Ebony fingerboard and 24 Jumbo frets round out the instruments comfortably shaped neck.

The maple/mahogany wood combination is the 'heart' of this guitar; the newly designed Schecter Superock II humbuckers are the 'soul'. Based on the look and sound of Schecter's California Custom Shop pickups, these fiber topped Superocks feature Alnico-V magnets and 1/4" pole pieces. The pickups also feature four conductor wiring, allowing the bridge and neck pickup to be 'tapped' individual via a push-pull Tone control allowing the classic to emulate a single coil pickup without the hum.

Other features include a TonePros Tune-o-Matic bridge and Grover tuners. The C-1 Exotic will be available in two hand-rubbed oil finishes; Antique Black Stain and Natural.

Suggested retail price is $1179.00, and includes a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
