Vertical 2 string 7th chord arpeggios

Playing arpeggios over chords is a good way to see where you going on the guitars fretboard. In this lesson we will play the arpeggios just on the 2,1 strings. Below are the four arpeggios we will work on.The first one is Major 7th, the second is Dom 7th, the third one is Min 7th and the fourth is Min 7th b5.

The chords are going to be

D Maj 7th ( 7,1,3,5=chord intervals)
D Dom 7th (b7 1,3,5=chord intervals)
D Minor 7th (b7 1,b3,5=chord intervals)
D Minor 7th b5 (b7,1,b3,b5=chord intervals)
-----2-5-----2-5-----1-5-----1-4----
-2-3-----1-3-----1-3-----1-3--------

------------------------------------
------------------------------------
-2--2--1--1----
-2--1--1--1----
-2--2--2--1----

Notice how we are starting on the 7th degree! It is important that you practice playing these arpeggio forms in all keys. We will touch on the other stings in a later lesson. For now practice these until you can play them in all keys.
