Gibson files suit against Japanese guitar maker Tokai

Gibson Guitar Company files suit against Japanese guitar maker Tokai. The lawsuit claims the Japanese "Love Rock" model is a look-alike of Gibson's famous Les Paul guitar unveiled in 1952. Read On..

The lawsuit also names as defendants Musictoyz.com of Cumberland, Maine, New Jersey-based Godlyke Distributing and The Guitar Cellar of Lexington, Kentucky. Ted Rausch of privately held Musictoyz has declined to answer questions about the suit. Tokai's models are no longer found on the web site.  The photo shows a mid 80's Love Rock.
