Electrosonic Releases New FireBall Tube head

Electrosonic Amplifiers has introduced the Fireball amplifier, a full size head unit which takes all of the customizable aspects that Electrosonic is known for, adding a powerful 40w class AB output section. Like its lower-powered siblings, the Fireball is an amplifier platform, allowing players to select what preamp, power amp, and rectifier configurations they want on their amplifier. In addition, many upgrade options are available. This allows players to add only features which they will actually use, avoiding price increasing features that they do not need.

The Fireball comes standard with the following features:

  • Volume, On and Standby controls
  • 5AR4 tube or solid state rectifier
  • 12AX7, 6SL7, or EF86 preamp section
  • Treble, Mid, Bass controls (12AX7 & 6SL7 preamps, special tone control w/EF86)
  • Your choice of output tap impedance (4,8,or 16 ohm)
  • Single channel, clean-to-drive volume control
  • Your choice of the following output tubes: 6L6, EL34, KT66, KT88,
  • Front tube window
  • Color of your choice w/gloss, satin, or hand rubbed oil finish. Metal flake finishes available
  • Solid Pine, Poplar, or Oak(+$25) construction
  • Dimensions: 15"x11"x9"

In addition to the standard features, add-on/upgrades are available at an additional cost:

  • Lower mid Slope control
  • Fat switch
  • Impedance selector
  • Built in reactive load attenuator
  • Paper in oil signal caps
  • High-voltage power supply
  • Solen fast cap filter caps
  • Dual preamp tubes

The Fireball starts at $1099 for standard base model.
