Keeping that guitar in tune

brian writes
Here is a simple tip to help you keep your guitar in tune. Note: This tip is for guitars with a standard bone, plastic, nuts etc. Not a locking nut system like a floyd rose. If you are having problems with your guitar staying in tune try stretching the strings a couple of times then re tune. Try this a couple of times and see if this does the trick. If not get a pencil then lift the strings one at a time away from the nut and rub the pencil point in the grooves where the strings go.

You can also get some graphite in a tube from a hardware store and just add a little in the grooves of the nut. You really only need to do the 1,2,3 strings since they are the ones that go out of tune the most. There's also other products on the market like Ben's nut sauce that does a great job. Try it out these tips they really works!
