ARE YOU AMERICA?S NEXT GUITAR HERO?

GuitarPlayer.com will select ten players to strut their stuff in front of a panel of editors and guitar stars at a stellar showcase performance in Hollywood, California, this summer (actual date yet to be confirmed). Only one guitarist will emerge as the 2004 Guitar Hero.  And that transcendent talent will not just have bragging rights for a year. He or she will also be the subject of a Guitar Player feature, as well as win a bunch of cool gear and appear on a CD compilation from a respected record company.

  • There are two ways to enter
  1. Send us a CD-R of you performing your most fearsome riffs. The entry can be a song or an instrumental, and you can perform with a band or solo. The audio must be no longer than three minutes. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail contact with the entry. No entries will be returned. The address for entries is: Guitar Player Guitar Hero, 2800 Campus Drive, San Mateo, CA 94403.
  2. E-mail us an mp3 of your slickest licks. The same rules apply as those for the CD-R entry stated above. The address for e-mail entries is guitplyr@musicplayer.com. Be sure to write ?Guitar Hero? in the e-mail subject line, and include your contact info in the body of the
e-mail. Title your mp3 with your last name, as follows: Entrant.mp3.

The Guitar Player Guitar Hero Competition is open to all ages and styles. What are you waiting for?
