Riff Interactive Releases Jam Sessions - Funk Style

The Jam Session CDs from Riff Interactive are designed to teach you theory and technique, rhythm riffs, chords, scales, riffs, and solos as you play along to the jam tracks, and the two newest releases target the Funk.

The Funk style, born out of the 1960's, is a hybrid of jazz, soul, and rock 'n roll. It is mostly a rhythm riff style of guitar playing. The Funk guitar style is best played on electric guitars.

These lessons are for the student who is looking for new things to practice, new theory to apply, new ways to improve using modes and perhaps best of all, something new to jam to.

The CD-ROM features:

  • Interactive tab/notation that syncs to the actual guitar audio.
  • Virtual guitar neck showing the notes being played and the fingering.
  • Select, loop, slow media and tab notation down to your desired speed while maintaining original pitch.
  • Videos and looping jam tracks to practice with.
  • Transcription of lessons where actual students interact with teacher.

The Riff Interactive CD-ROM catalog which contains previews of each product is at: www.riffinteractive.com/catalog/catalog.htm

  • Jam Sessions - Funk Style I (retail $10.95, sale $9.95)
  • Jam Sessions - Funk Style II (retail $10.95, sale $9.95)
