Drop 2 chord voicing are chords with the fifth of the chord dropped down an octave. For example in a Cmajor7 chord the notes are laid out as C,E,G,B and is called a four way closed chord. To make it a drop 2 voicing we will need to drop the G down an Octave so the notes will now be in this order G,C,E,B also called a (Drop 2 Voicing).
Drop 2 chord voicing are much fuller sounding and more accessible to us guitarist then basic The Basic Four way closed. The Four Cmaj7 Inversions in this lesson are played on the inside 5 strings 5,4,3,2 strings. Please see the file attachment below for the Tab File.
