How to get the maximum life out of your strings

brian writes
I guarantee you will be changing your strings a lot when you first start out. Until you get used to striking strings, you will still be developing your strumming style. Changing a string may sound simple enough, but it is how you change a string that determines how long it will last. Did you know there is only one simple technique that determines whether your string will last 1 week or 1 month! Yes! Only one simple trick here.

The secret here is NOT to thread the new string straight through the hole. The way to do it is to get the string and firstly wrap it several times around the tuning peg. Then and only then, do you start to thread
it through the hole.

For thin strings like the 1st and 2nd, wrap them around as many times as possible, before threading them through. For thick strings like the 4th 5th and 6th, there is only enough room for 2 or 3 wraps.

Once you have wrapped the string around the tuning peg, thread the string through the hole. This reduces the tension, and pull of the string. If you simply thread it through the hole and tighten it, the string has
NO LEIGH WAY.There is no space for the string to wear in. It is just being pulled to it's maximum.

By threading the string around the tuning peg a few times, it gives the string more Leigh way and flexibility. This increases the life of the string, as it allows it to wear in easier. Therefore the string has less pull on it, and is gradually stretched without snapping. This is just one of the many tips contained in the booklet "Street-Smart Guitar Techniques."

If you are interested in learning more, I recommend checking out this booklet "Street-Smart Guitar Techniques" where I've put together an entire E-Book devoted to these sorts of tips and tricks to improve your guitar playing. It is available for download within 5 minutes, and filled with tones of Pics, Text and Sound, plus a lot more completely categorized into an easy to understand step by step format, that
is packed with other resources and tools that you can use!

I will also send you a FREE full color covered HARD COPY booklet and post it out to you while you download the entire electronic booklet to your home PC this minute, and I'll also include an
Extra Floppy Disk full of sample riffs for you to practice with full tabs to go with it as well.

These are the same techniques I used to skyrocket my music success and get into recording studios, live on stage, featured on Channel 7 News and Played live on air at Hits FM Radio - and I will show you them all so you can start playing your guitar immediately.

We are talking about real life, nuts and bolts, to kick start your playing so you can begin playing some serious cutting edge music on your strings.
