Framus Guitars new Earl Slick Signature Model honors the in-demand guitarist who for nearly 30 years has played on albums by David Bowie, John Lennon, and Ian Hunter and worked with Robert Smith and Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock. Slick also recently joined proto-punk heroes The New York Dolls.
The guitar is available in two rich finishes: Red Satin Solid and Black Satin Solid.
The combination of resonant swamp ash with choice of DiMarzio PAFs or P90s matched with a TonePros Tune-o-matic or Bigsby bridge gives Slick the sound that defined the most important eras of his musical career. The lever-style pickup selector makes this guitar even more unique and versatile. Plek technology ensures a perfect factory fret setup every time.
Also new from Framus is a reissued 5/131 Hollywood Vintage Guitar, available in single cutaway and double cutaway models.
The Hollywood was one of the most distinctive semi-hollow body guitars of its time and still holds a place in the hearts of vintage
electric guitar fans. The reissued versions feature stunning high-polish finishes with black or cream binding, mahogany
neck, Framus bridge and tailpiece, and Framus Vintage single coil pickups.
