Have you ever wondered why older vintage pickups tend to sound special and why they are preferred by many professional guitar players? That's because they were all hand made. Pickups that are hand assembled will always sound better than mass produced, automated machine made pickups. Amalfitano Pickups produces simply the most musical sounding and well-balanced pickups available.

All Amalfitano Pickups pickups utilize a technique called "Scatter Winding". They layer on the fine magnetic wire in a non-uniform pattern that disperses the sterile sounding attributes inherent to machine made pickups. They are assembled using high grade Alnico magnets, and premium parts. All are wax potted to eliminate microphonics; (An undesirable squealing tone which is induced from vibrating components in or about a pickup). Not to be confused with feedback.

All pickups can be completely custom made for each individual player's needs. If you require a vintage sound or a hotter wound pickup one will be assembled to your specifications.

• The SP Set - Install these custom built, individually hand wound pickups into your guitar, crank up the volume and experience a complexity of overtones and harmonics as only hand made pickups can produce. These pickups create pure Strat sound with attitude allowing you to achieve the highest, fullest, musical tones your guitar can produce. Inside are hand "Scatter-Wound" #42 AWG Vintage Enameled Magnetic Wire wrapped around a custom stagger pattern of powerful Alnico 5 magnets.
• The VS Set - The VS set incorporates a calibrated vintage magnet stagger utilizing Alnico 3 grade magnets to give them that aged, weakened property that is reminiscent of the 1950's Strat pickups. The VS set drips with a vintage tone that only Amalfitano Pickups can produce.
• The 62 Set - The '62 set utilizes slightly larger diameter Alnico 3 grade magnets than the VS set. They have a calibrated vintage magnet stagger that is reminiscent of the 60's Strat pickups They're wound with correct gauge Formvar Magnetic wire to approximately 6.2K ohms for all three pickups. The '62 set is also non RWRP in order to retain it's vintage vibe.
• The TP Set - Now Telecaster players can obtain a more tonally balanced usable neck pickup, replacing their darker sounding OEM pickup. Slightly taller Alnico 5 grade magnets and wound to 9.0K ohms, gives this pickup it's fuller, brighter musical tone. When coupled with the matching Bridge pickup, it's capable of canceling 60-cycle hum in the middle (both) switch position due to the Reverse Wound Reverse Polarity construction.
• The Glendale Deluxe Set - Hand wound pickups made exclusively for Glendale Guitars. This is Glendale's formula for neck and bridge pickups, and Amalfitano Pickups has handcrafted them to perfection. The neck pickup is warm, rich and full sounding. It has the right amount of highs, mids and lows. The bridge pickup is constructed using raised-flush Alnico magnets. The sound is very full, rich and even-toned. Tone is what it's all about. Some call it "Twang" but Dale likes to call it "TONE".
• The Fullbucker Set - The Fullbucker set are full bodied, rich sounding, humbucker pickups incorporating hand-assembled, over wound bobbins that are specifically designed for the Bridge (approx. 8.50K ohms) and Neck (approx. 8K ohms) positions. Using quality construction materials, these humbuckers are assembled with vintage enameled #42 gauge magnetic wire, hardwood maple spacer blocks, nickel/steel base plates and single conductor shielded lead wires.
• The P90 Soapbar Set - These soapbars are designed to give the P90 user more bang for the buck. They're constructed having more output than stock OEM P90's, while still retaining their single coil properties and growl when pushed to the limit. Each pickup is designed to compliment each other when used together as a set. The Bridge pickup is constructed using vintage enameled magnetic wire and either utilizes Alnico grade 2 bar magnets for a slightly warmer tone or Alnico 5 magnets for that "in your face" louder punch.
