Brian May of the band Queen hasn’t just been sitting home waiting for his royalty checks; instead he has been hard at work to get his doctorate in astronomy.
The 60-year old musician who abandoned his studies to pursue a musical career, turned in a 48,000-world paper called "Radical Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud" last month to London's Imperial College, granting him a category two pass, and guaranteeing that he will officially be handed his Ph.D. from the college at a ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall next year.
