Simple volume, gain and tone/shape controls give you the widest range of sounds you can find on a practice/recording amplifier.

V18-212

Back in the day in merry olde England—before rock was huge and 12 year olds had tinnitus from 100 watt stacks—an 18 watt 2x12 combo was all you needed to set toes a-tapping at the local garden fete. A few years later, some crazed Limey decided to crank just such a combo into distortion and found it produced a brilliant, compressed sustain perfect for the blues. People started selling their souls to find these rare gems, but you don’t have to because we’ve recreated that vintage setup—and with all the mod cons. Crate’s new V18-212 combo features single-channel, Class A design with gain and master volume controls, 3-band EQ, and spring reverb, making it one of the most versatile little amps around. This baby produces sweet cleans and warm, smooth overdrive from its dual cathode biased EL84 output tubes, punching 18 watts into dual 12" speakers for the perfect pub/club amp.

  • 18 watts RMS
  • Class A, all tube circuitry
  • 2 x 12" speakers
  • 2 x EL84 output tubes, cathode biased

V33-212

The British invasion not only brought long hair, Cuban heels and phony accents to our shores, it also brought the now classic cathode-biased 30 watt Class A guitar amp. At moderate volumes, these gifts from the Commonwealth produce a fantastic chime that will be your ticket to ride. Crank them into saturation, and you’ll have a multi-dimensional roar that will cause any bohemian to rhapsodize on their articulation and sustain. The two-channel V33-212 combo produces 33 watts of all tube Class A tone through dual 12" speakers. Set one channel for crystal clear cleans, and the other for the warm overdrive distortion that can only come from four EL84 cathode biased output tubes, and you’re ready to start your own tone revolution. The new V33's boost function lets your solos soar above the band with just one stomp on the footswitch (sold separately), while the three-band EQ, fluid channel switching and spring reverb give you ultimate sonic control in a loud, durable package. Thermion, dead man!

With two channels delivering 33 watts of all tube Class A British tone, the V33H produces the chiming clean and harmonic-laden overdrive that discriminating pickers expect from four EL84 cathode-biased output tubes. Designed for use with the V33H head, V212B is rated to handle 100 watts of power and weighs in at a malnourished 47 pounds, making it easy to transport wherever you want to go.

It pumps 50 watts through a single 12" speaker, creating a muscular low end perfect for club gigs and recording sessions. Presence control, spring reverb and foot-switchable boost make sure you can dial in your custom tone from anywhere. Lesser amps will blow their fuses in fear when they see you plugging into a V50-112.

V3112-T

Take a look at an incredibly expensive boutique amp. Chances are it is a cathode-biased 30-Watt Class-A design. And that’s no accident—they sound fantastic. At moderate volumes, four EL-84 output tubes produce a hypnotic chime with incredible feel for the guitarist. Take them into saturation and they give you a multi-dimensional, singing roar of pure articulation and sustain. We studied these boutique amp designs to come up with Crate’s two-channel V3112T combo. Thirty-three watts of all-tube Class A tone through a single, premium Tone Tubby 12" speaker will give you a feel and touch-sensitivity you’ll not soon forget. The new V3112T’s boost function pumps your solos above the band, while the three-band EQ lets you dial in an array of sweet EL-84 tones. An internal spring reverb unit produces a huge, wet sound. All this sonic firepower is housed in a compact, overbuilt cabinet and chassis, ready for studio or stage.
