Congratulations on your new Gracie Performer Guitar Stand purchase.  Now we will show you how to set it up correctly with this step by step guide. Includes easy to follow instructions with photos for your convenience. Guide covers all models of the Gracie Performer Stand including the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, deepbowl roundback, shallow bowl roundback, electric bass, thin acoustic, dobro and the banjo models.

Photo's are of an electric version GPS-E, but all models basically have the same setup process!

Ok Let's get started!

Step 1

The first thing and most important is to unpack your new Gracie Performer Stand and make sure you have all the parts.

1. Stand

2. Guitar holder [bracket]

3. Instructions sheet

Step 2

Untighten the nut at the base of the stand as shown

Step 3

After you untighten push down the 3 legs until the legs are fully extended at their widest stance.

Note: It's important that the legs are fully extended to prevent the stand from tipping over.

Step 4

Next, pull up the release clamp and extend the stands telescoping column so the top is about waist high.

Step 5

Next, adjust the tilter head as shown so it's horizontal with the knob to the right.

Step 6

Next, remove the threaded knob and lock washer from the front of tilter head

Step 7

Next, insert threaded knob through the holder and make sure you place the lock washer on the threaded side. Now simply screw the knob into the tilter head until it's tight. (Shown circled in red)

Make note how the holder is shaped, just like the curvature of a guitar. Other models may differ like the banjo model for example.

Step 8

Next, adjust hex nut slightly but don't tighten just yet.

Step 9

Now, adjust the second hex nut but don't tighten yet

Step 10

Now place your instrument on the holder like shown then tighten the hex nuts on the spring loaded gripper elements until snug. You should be able to pick up your instrument and the stand should stay attached. Next adjust your instrument to the desired height and angle.

If you run into any problems getting your instrument to sit right simply loosen the 2 hex nuts, remove instrument, point both moveable grippers in the downward position, place your instument back on the holder, then move the lower and upper grippers to the upward position againist the top your instruments body. (shown circled in red). Now tighten the 2 hex nuts until snug.

That's all there is to it! Good Luck and enjoy your new Gracie Performer Stand.
