Guitar legends to headline Dundee festival
A New trio formed by two British guitar legends and one of Africa?s leading musicians is to headline this summer?s Dundee Guitar Festival, now firmly established as one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Europe. Web is a musical collaboration that features John Williams, one of Britain?s most gifted classical guitar players, the jazz virtuoso John Etheridge and Patrick Bebey, a singer and keyboard player from Cameroon. Their concert at the city?s Caird Hall will be the highlight of this year?s festival which is being staged from 21 to 25 July.

New - T-Rex BigTone Amps

T-Rex has introduced new line of handmade, retro-styled tube amps and cabinets. The amps offers Class A operation with Jensen capacitors and hand-wound transformers, and are complemented with several matching cabinets. The new line starts off with the BigTone T45 Head. This amp pumps out 45 Watts of Class A power using EL84 power tubes. It is a single channel amp with controls for Reverb, Master, Cut, Gain, Bass, Middle and Treble. There is also a bright/normal input switch.

Bluesman Sixty Head and Combo Amp

Offered in a choice of head or 2x12 combo formats, the hand crafted and assembled Bluesman Sixty from George Dennis offers two independent channels, each with their own volume and tone controls.  The amp's two channels are switchable via the included footswitch, which also provides control over the Accutronics reverb. While there are independent volume and tone controls, the reverb and presence are shared by both channels. Tone is provided by the four ECC83 preamp tubes and pair of 6L6 tubes in the power section. An effects loop is also included.

Rare Kurt Cobain Guitar To Be Auctioned
The late Kurt Cobain's Mosrite Gospel Mark IV electric guitar will be offered for auction beginning April 17 in Texas. The auction, by Dallas-based Heritage Galleries and Auctioneers, will take place in association with the 27th Annual Dallas Guitar Show and Music Fest. The auction will mark the first time since Cobain's death on April 5, 1994, that one of his instruments will be available for sale to the public.
