| Berklee College of Music is launching an online music education scholarship. The program is designed to provide gifted musicians throughout the world with opportunities to attend Berklee from anywhere, enabling them to receive music instruction from faculty members. A valuable component of the program is to equip musicians with the tools and strategies to address contemporary music issues, such as the emerging digital landscape, distribution models, and leveraging the Internet as a positive movement in music. This is the third progressive online initiative that the college has introduced over the past year. |

Again we will use the major chord forms as a reference to the rest of the triads to keep things simple. The major form is the first chord in each example followed by augmented,minor then diminished just as in example 1,2,3. |

With opening day of just a few weeks away, workers Tuesday installed a 50-foot replica of Jimi Hendrix's Fender Stratocaster electric guitar over the main entrance to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Inside, Hard Rock employees started hanging rock-'n'-roll memorabilia. The $200 million-plus complex is scheduled to open May 11. |

A New trio formed by two British guitar legends and one of Africa?s leading musicians is to headline this summer?s Dundee Guitar Festival, now firmly established as one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Europe. Web is a musical collaboration that features John Williams, one of Britain?s most gifted classical guitar players, the jazz virtuoso John Etheridge and Patrick Bebey, a singer and keyboard player from Cameroon. Their concert at the city?s Caird Hall will be the highlight of this year?s festival which is being staged from 21 to 25 July.
