Just thought I'd post my opinion. Metal is not for all ages. Metal was about rebellion and teen age angst. If your still rebeling at 40 then god bless you man.

I never listened to metal as a teen because I wanted to rebell...I just liked listening to it and trying to learn it on guitar...The term rebellion is one of those media buzz words that try to describe why teens like or do what they do...I dont buy the rebellion thing...They just like the music...Just my opinion...If your 40 and still like the metal you grew up on then whats wrong with that...There is no expiry date for liking something...If you like it then you like it regardless of ones age.If you like something at 17...And 23 years later at 40 you still like it...I dont see why you have to change because of your age...Peace

i agree with spider. Metal isnt about rebellion or any crap like that. I listened to it and still do because i was impressed with their skills and wanted be just like them. I didnt wanna rebel against any1. These guys dont wanna either. Sure they say the gov't and justice system is corrupt and there is some truth to that. But that doesnt meen theyre gonna rebel or anything. They sing what sells and that kinda stuff sold and to a certain point still sells today. Metal is for all ages.

Peace and Rock

Yeah, I really am not a fan of Metallica. But I respect them. They tried something different and in my eyes that makes them artists. Their music isn't my taste but They are a REAL band and a pretty nice live show.

Mettalica were a good band when they were underground, unfortunatly I think the "fire" went out when they got money and tried writting the songs to sell instead of making music. Now they are as underground and as cutting edge as the Spice Girls.

That aside I still think that they have some great tunes and they are all fantastic musicians.

P.S. Black album was the beginning of the end.

Rock on, Rock hard and Rock heavy!!!

has anyone heard something about metallica getting together with linkin park? I personally thing its pretty gay. Linkin park shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentance with linkin park. ive been to 4 concerts since the release of st anger. They have been great with godsmack. Godsmack is a crazy group and their albums are a million times better than st anger. The madly in anger tour was great. Linkin park tour on the other hand will be horrible. Thats just my opinion tho.

Peace and Rock
