Umm, I'll get to Ziggy later (laughing too hard right now). Anyway, about
hyperlinks: I'm a real low tech guy and was wondering just what the heck
they are? Are they accessible with poopie smelling fingers? Are they for
pie lovers only? Are they sexually transmittable? Resistant to
antibiotics? You're scaring the hell out of me! Help?
JohnL, went back and re-read your post. Less sure than before about your
meaning, but if I misinterpreted your comments, sorry. By the way, I am on
a higher level, mass quantities of Heineken will do that to you.
Mod, couldn't log in under my old user name (was I bounced!!!?) so now
you've got the second coming. |

Ziggy_Stardust - try actually listening to something other than what you
read about in tiger beat or seventeen or wtf ever you are "reading"(marvel
comics?)
Ziggy_Stardust - i could care less what you like and what you dont like.
somewhat contridicting?
This is not some 1 dimension group that autmatically busts you when you
say names we may have never heard of. But you had to be all punk about
it.

Links are not hard...Just got to the site you want to link...Right click on
the address in the bar...Copy...Then come back in the editing process...And
right click where you want to place the link...And paste...Thats
it...Another way is <...a... href...=The address of website or
webpage...>...you can write the name of the link in if you want...In
editing there is an icon for links...press that icon and put the address in
between any thing that pops up.In the href thing omit all the ... I had to
put them in so as not to create an actual link.

I only
recently started browsing these forums and have made a few posts too. But
after reading through some of the threads have to admit i'm a lil scared to
make inputs (or posts)......you know.....the flame and all. But hey why
doesnt this thread mention Nuno Bettencourt?

I dont think Nuno has been underated...when the band he was in had all its
hits back in the day he was in the guitar mags and stuff...so people knew
who he was and that he could play.
Im not a huge fan of his however I did learn a lot of his tunes years
ago.
ZeldaMentalEvil dont worry about putting your input into posts...If someone
disagrees then I say who cares right?...As for the flaming I am guilty of
that sometimes(in defence) however the administrator and moderators have
put a stop these types of wars...so say whats on your mind and dont
worry...this is your message board/forum too.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of Doyle Dykes. Maybe it's
my inexperience as a guitar player, but he seems to be a terrific guitar
player. However, I've never found anyone outside my family who has heard
of him. I guess he does a lot of stuff for Taylor Guitars. He played a
really nice piece for a ceremony to present a seedling of the last Liberty
Tree to the Secretary of Natural Resources (I think that was his job)
Anyway, I've been on Launchcast seeing if I could listen to either Satriani
or Vai. I know, I have to get my music from Launchcast, but I don't have a
job, so I'm poor, and the local radio stations don't venture too far from
the 5 or 10 "great new songs," and a few popular old bands. If only there
were stations for musicians. |

In Ziggy's defense I must say that Jan Akkerman is a truly talented player.
I loved his 70's fusion band FOCUS.
I'm sure some of the older players remember the song HOCUS POCUS this song
was covered by Gary Hoey in the late 90's.
The Hamurger Concerto release from Focus was also a great album.
