Why has Mustaine been on every guitar magazine cover for like the past 3
months? Its getting annoying.

Last I heard, Dave did a melt-down on his arm, and I watched all of his
guitars sell on eBay. Bid on a couple, but went way over what my piggy
bank could crap.
And I just want to say that Mr. Stardust is really really REALLY cool.
Really. Seriously. not kidding. I'm truly in awe of his individuality.
Although I hear that his fingers smell like poop, and he doesn't like
pie.

btw,jimi hendrix was a fantastic musician(aka artist) because he wasnt
afraid to be himself,especially musically and he never ran with the
pack,unlike all of you.BE CREATIVE,DONT BE AFRAID TRY LISTENING TO SOME
STUFF/PEOPLE YOUVE NEVER HEARD OF IF YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME AWESOME
GUITARISTS AND BROADEN YOUR(evidently)NARROW MINDS!hendrixs most important
attribute was his creativity,cause there have been plenty who could play
crazy scales and crap all around him,but none ive heard who even come close
to his originality. it aint about anything but art,if it is youre just a

| Hendrixs live playing wasnt that great in my mind...However his studio
recordings are done very well...I think the producers had a lot to do with
jimmys success...People think hendrix invented the backwards guitar however
in all reality it was the studio guys behind the recording equipment that
started that.Jimmy's live work makes me cringe sometimes. ____________________

Ziggy, I can tell you as a fellow forum "n00by" that this is a real warm
and fuzzy, let's hold hands and sing "We Are The World" site. My
unsolicited advice: stop the preaching. There are some informed thoughtful
people here. I thought your post was (minus the muso b*tch attitude)
valid. The problem is that your point will be lost on those reacting to
that attitude, not content. JohnL, for example, commented on how the
"bands" you mentioned (you didn't) were "underground" (none of the
guitarists you mentioned were). Jan Akkerman's solo on Focus' only US hit
"Hocus Pocus", (an amazing piece) pre-dates shred by almost 2 decades,
however; the "kiddys" on this site won't check it out. They'll be too busy
posting about what a pretentious a**hole you sound like. And art? Well, I
took up guitar cuz it made cool noises and helped me get laid. Now its
relaxing after a long day at work and I play mainly for (God forbid) fun!
If that makes me a punk... Oh, and one more thing Zig: since we're on the
most underrated guitarists thread, how did you, of all people, forget to
mention the late (I'm making the sign of the cross) 70's glam god Mick
Ronson?

What you talking about willy? I did not specifically aim that at him
i amied it other people as well. I knew he was talking about guitarists and
i meant people in general and im sure you know some as well. I guess my
"your guitarist suck' may have been a little over the top due to the fact
that it was said becausehe was being a wanker. But I stand by the rest. I
dont really care what kind of guitarists you like but you had to insult
everyone so you could try to feel cool, like you were on a higher level and
that was uncool.

i guess i should leave you all in your blissful ignorance,forever thinking

a musican par excellence,who just happens to be a guitarist.
i could care less what you like and what you dont like,your opinions are

additionally,glen campbell is probably one of the best guitarists on the
planet as well as a very technically knowledgeable MUSICIAN!,cool or
not.you know,prokofievs music isnt really cool,but it IS important,relevant
musically,and it will be listened to and respected by the musical
cognescentti A LONG TIME after megadeath and nirvana and such typical
mainstream dungpiles are LONG FORGOTTEN.

See here is the thing ziggy...I have nothing against you
personally...However Frank Zappa and Johnnie winter dont mean much to
me...I know who they are...However I also know they are not like you.They
are cool and laid back.Maybe you can learn from them.Guitarist and music is
subjective...However I can see you dont realize this...Its not about whos
right or wrong ziggy...Its about co habitating with other humans...Or are
you so jaded its beyond your comprehension.Like I said there is no right or
wrong...If you want to be rude then I guess thats in your
chemistry...However Im not that jaded.
