I heard that.. The Angus Young is a pretty hot humbucker the Tony Iommi is even hotter from what I hear. Check out the 500T humbucker from Gibson this pickups screams.

HB with Alnico magnets.Medium to hot output - depends on guitar wood.

It doesn't matter to me the brand.I always modify them to my taste.Add a few winds for gain.Take a few off for milder stuff.I just listen to what the guitar has first.Its always different because of the wood combinations between neck and body.

That's true but I never had the time to wind my own pickups. I like to try it sometime though.

Humbuckers for me...better if it has the option to play through the coils individually........ do those humbuckers have a technical name?

My Ibanez went threw some changes. I had tone zones, then I switched to the Duncan Screamin Demons but found myself going back to the Zones. Finally I just sold the **** thing.

But I like a Hot,Screaminin, Kick you in the teeth sound! Even at my age.
