I have built a Rangemaster clone from geofex called the austin treble booster. It had great instructions for putting together the terminal strip part, but I can't seem to get the switch wired properly. Has anyone built one of these? If you could send me a picture of your wiring from the terminal strip to the switch and pot, it would be a huge help. Thanks!

It's a pdf, and it's here: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/Rangemaster/atboost.p df

It doesn't have a schematic, but it has instructions for building on a terminal strip. I did that, but I can't figure the wiring for a switch. I have a carling dpdt.

Thanks!!!!

I would like to have true bypass. I've tried the diagram above, but it can't be right. The instructions call for the negative battery lead to be attached to the switch.

That would be a ground right... Attach to the ground on the switch.

Patatrick,
There IS a schematic on that pdf file, on page 2. Look closely at it, compare it with your terminal strip and you can figure out how to connect the terminal strip to the switches. That's how I did it, and I used the exact same instructions to build my Rangemaster.

It's a Treble Booster or a Hiss Booster depending on what Ge transistor you use, I've tried 5 different transistors of 3 different p/n's, and they all sound different.

Good luck.
