I'm working with Guitar Pro which is quite great, but unfortunately, there
are not tabs out there for all the guitarists I'd like to learn songs from.
Robin Trower for one. So what I was thinking is it would be great if I
could find some kind of software program that would allow me to put a CD in
my CD-ROM and then pick which song I want to be transcribed and then the
software automatically transcribes the song.
I don't even know if such a thing exists out there, but if anyone knows of
such software, please post.
Thanks |

| That would be a great software but unfortunity I don't think it exsists. ____________________ Get the name to sell first then the trend makes millions. |

I did stumble across something called Music Recognition Pro. I sent the
company an email asking them some questions about it. You can download the
demo for free. The program itself costs around $99.00. |

Yuk. I downloaded several demos of programs that claim to do just that.
They're all horrible sounding. I bet the pros do it by hand. They use a
computer to enter in the notes on the staff, but they do it by hand
otherwise. |

What songs are you looking for by Robin Trower? perhaps I can help.
He's one of the few blues rock guitar players I admire. |

Check out the Tascam guitar trainer you can slow down the songs
without changing the pitch and it's makes learning leads, chords, songs easy.
That's what most of the pros use to transcribe since they have deadlines
like guitar player magazine for example |
